The Library provides access to a wide range of information, learning resources, study facilities and IT work stations. Go to the Library Desk in Student Central to borrow books, laptops, get help finding resources and information for your assignments. Get help with photocopying, printing, password resetting and there are online catalogues for searching books and eBooks. As an enrolled student you are entitled to borrow books and other resources; please produce your ID card each time.
Printing and Photocopying
Multifunctional devices around the College are available for printing, photocopying and scanning. Your Student ID will give you access to these, and staff will advise you on their use.
Computer and IT Facilities
Outside class you can use the computers in the Library, provided you present your Student ID Card to the Library staff. All students aged 16 and over have access to free WiFi whilst in College. The Code of Conduct for the Use of IT Facilities tells you about the rules that you need to be aware of and follow. The College does not tolerate the misuse of IT facilities. Use of another student’s ID card/Username is strictly forbidden.
To reach The Virtual Library you will need to log into itsLearning. Select the course field The Virtual Library. Click the Resources tab and this will lead you to the online catalogue useful for searching books to check if they are available or out on loan. Use the electronic books and electronic journals and databases to support your studies. If you are studying on a Higher Education programme select the Higher Education Area link to take you through to the Harvard Referencing materials.
